Strategy
- Alliance
One key element of the company's strategic plan is the development of international ties within a global alliance. In this respect, 2004 is of crucial importance. In November 2004 the Hungarian national airline became a full-right member of the world’s leading aviation alliance. By working closely with other members of SkyTeam and ensuring advantages for them too, we are determined to strengthen the national flag carrier’s market positions.
Our airline is also upping the number of its long-haul flights: a direct air bridge between Budapest and Beijing opens on 1 August, with three flights a week operated in partnership with Hainan Airlines, China’s fourth largest air carrier.
- Quality
Malév is regularly audited by partner airlines, and so far the work of the company has been assessed very positively. Regarding flight safety, the Hungarian flag carrier has been certified as operating in accordance with the very strictest international aviation regulations. Certification of the company according to the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system also concluded successfully. This internationally recognized professional certification is solid proof that Malév conducts its operations to standards valid worldwide, and that its passengers and commercial partners can always expect the Hungarian national airline to provide reliable and controlled standards of operation and service.
