FunPlus Group(FunPlus) is an international interactive entertainment company that is involved in many fields including gaming, live-streaming, eSports. It has also made investments into small, independent gaming companies and helped them reach their potential.

FunPlus was founded in 2010 in Silicon Valley and Beijing. After almost 8 years of development, FunPlus Group has grown immensely and now has offices in cities all over the world including Beijing, San Francisco, Taipei, Tokyo, and Gurgaon (India), as well as many others. It employs over 450 people from more than 20 countries, and supports localized products in 18 languages.

Since its creation, FunPlus has become a top tier game developer in both Casual and SLG genres, with mobile and PC games like Family Farm and Family Farm Seaside, that have over 100 million players all over the world, and the SLG game King of Avalon, which was the first Chinese game that rocketed to No.1 on the Apple App Store’s Top Grossing chart in United States. The game has ranked Top 5 in 30+ countries and regions.

In 2016, one of the subsidiary companies of FunPlus, Dian Dian Interactive, was acquired by Century Holdings for over $1 billion.

Early in 2017, FunPlus led the pack when Cloud9, an iconic North American eSports organization closed its Series A financing. Other investors include: the San Francisco Giants outfielder, Hunter Pence, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Golden State Warriors co-owner, Chamath Palihapitiya, LA Dodgers co-owner, Todd Boehly, and Tesla board of directors member, Kimbal Musk.

Later in 2017, with an optimistic outlook of the great potential and bright future of eSports, FunPlus Sports was founded. It entered LoL Pro League (LPL) with its very own eSports Club, FunPlus Phoenix (FPX), which aimed to create world leading eSports teams using an advanced operation philosophy and management mechanism to bring new blood and revolution to LPL and the whole esports ecosystem worldwide.
