Dry Docks Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dry Docks Manager to oversee the dry docking operations for our oil tanker fleet. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in shipyard operations, project management, and a strong understanding of marine engineering and compliance standards. This role is crucial in ensuring our vessels are maintained to the highest standards and are operationally ready.

• Dry Dock Planning & Execution:

  1. Develop and manage dry dock schedules for the oil tanker fleet.

  2. Coordinate with shipyards and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of dry docking projects.

  3. Oversee the preparation of vessels for dry docking, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades.

• Project Management:

  1. Supervise all aspects of dry dock projects from initiation to completion.

  2. Ensure that all projects are completed within budget and on time.

  3. Monitor progress and address any issues or delays promptly.

• Compliance & Safety:

  1. Ensure that all dry docking operations comply with international maritime regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

  2. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect personnel and equipment.

• Budget Management:

  1. Prepare and manage budgets for dry dock projects.

  2. Analyze and report on project expenditures and financial performance.

• Vendor & Contractor Relations:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with shipyards, contractors, and suppliers.

  2. Negotiate contracts and oversee the performance of external service providers.

• Team Leadership:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of professionals involved in dry docking operations.

  2. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  1. Maintain accurate records of all dry docking activities, including reports, documentation, and performance metrics.

  2. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and any significant issues.

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in project management is a plus.

• Experience:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in shipyard operations or maritime project management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Proven experience with dry docking of oil tankers or similar large vessels.

• Skills:

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Languages:

Fluent in English and Mandarin. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
