Fleet Manager - Oil Tanker Fleet

As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our oil tanker fleet in Shanghai.

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the overall management and optimization of our oil tanker fleet. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime operations, safety regulations, and logistical coordination. The Fleet Manager will work closely with various departments, including operations, maintenance, and safety, to ensure that the fleet operates efficiently and meets all regulatory requirements.

• Fleet Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the oil tanker fleet, including scheduling, route planning, and cargo management.
• Maintenance Oversight:
• Compliance: Ensure that all vessels adhere to international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Performance Monitoring
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the budget for fleet operations
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on fleet performance and operational issues.
• Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations, including accidents, mechanical failures, and regulatory inspections.

• ​​​​​​​Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fleet management, with a strong background in managing oil tankers or similar maritime vessels. Experience in the Shanghai maritime industry is preferred.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills. Proficiency in fleet management software and data analysis tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin. Additional languages are a plus.
• Location: Based in Shanghai, with occasional travel as required.
