Technical Support Specialist (Derivatives)

We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of trading platforms, providing client support, and interacting with brokers and exchanges. You will administer CQG Cast, resolve client inquiries, and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient and compliant operations of the derivatives brokerage unit, supporting day-to-day activities and maintaining high standards.
• Register new clients, manage services and permissions, and set trading limits.
• Provide support for CQG trading systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain system performance.
• Serve as the main point of contact for derivatives clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain effective communication with prime brokers and interact with major derivatives exchanges such as CME and regulatory bodies like the CFTC.
• Collaborate with the IT development team to identify opportunities for process automation and set tasks accordingly.
• Understand and interpret reports from prime brokers, providing insights and recommendations.
• Review, describe, and enhance regulatory procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualification:

• Understanding of derivatives products and trading operations;
• Proficiency in CQG or similar systems, including client account management and troubleshooting;
• Basic skills in SQL for querying and analyzing data;
• Familiarity with automation tools and setting tasks for IT teams;
• Understanding of relevant regulations, especially related to CME and CFTC;
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for technical issues;
• Basic skills in Python or scripting for minor adjustments and automation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong knowledge of derivatives and a keen interest in developing further in this field;
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find and analyze necessary information;
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to communicate with counterparts and understand exchange rules and materials;
• Friendly and customer-focused attitude, with a readiness to assist clients and colleagues alike;
• Experience with trading systems like CQG and familiarity with regulatory requirements are highly desirable.
