Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Company:

SimpleNight is a US-based startup offering a unique all-in-one booking platform for flights, hotels, car rentals, and more, tailored for B2B companies and government organizations. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take full responsibility for supporting, enhancing, and scaling our cloud infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support, expand, and scale our hybrid cloud environment with a focus on Google Cloud Platform expertise.
2. Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and CDK with TypeScript to ensure efficient, consistent configuration.
3. Administer and optimize Kubernetes (K8S) clusters to maintain high service reliability and availability.
4. Monitor and enhance infrastructure for elasticity, availability, scalability, resiliency, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
5. Streamline the Continuous Delivery pipeline to enable concurrent development, testing, and seamless production deployments.
6. Collaborate closely with development teams to support stable, secure, and efficient updates and releases, fostering a smooth integration process.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
2. Strong foundation in server administration, with a broad understanding of server and cloud technologies.
3. Proficiency in application containerization and Kubernetes operations.
4. Proficiency with Git.
5. Experience with one or more CI/CD tools (preferably GitHub Actions).
6. Deep understanding of building highly scalable infrastructure, including Load Balancing, Latency-Based DNS Routing, Distributed Caching, etc.
7. Experience with CDN services.
8. Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
9. Experience supporting databases (PostgreSQL, Redis).
10. Advanced English skills and excellent communication skills.
11. Degree in IT or a related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

1. Knowledge of TypeScript to support existing configurations or willingness to transition to another programming language, such as Python.
2. Experience with distributed, high-load systems.
3. Experience with AWS or Azure is a significant advantage, as the company is considering migration.
