Lecturer in Cybersecurity and Entrepreneurship

CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY is seeking Lecturer in Cybersecurity and Entrepreneurship.The Computer Science Department is inviting applications for an hourly or full-time Lecturer position within the Engineering School. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate education in the areas of Cybersecurity and Entrepreneurship, preparing students for the demands of the modern digital economy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials in Cybersecurity and Entrepreneurship.

• Teach practical skills in areas such as cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and digital entrepreneurship strategies.

• Mentor and supervise undergraduate students on final-year projects, ensuring the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge.

• Collaborate in designing, reviewing, and updating syllabi and curricula for the courses.

• Participate actively in academic advising and departmental meetings.

Requirements:

• A PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.

• Proven teaching experience in relevant disciplines is highly preferred.

• Expertise in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++), especially for cybersecurity applications. (desirable criteria)

• A strong understanding of entrepreneurial practices, particularly in the tech industry.

• Exceptional communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in guiding students through practical programming tasks related to cybersecurity tools or business model development.

• Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies, including project-based learning and digital tools.
