Netcracker’s PaaS Operations team is a global team with people on all continents, which’s responsible for providing a reliable managed service of kuberentes/ocp based platform to hundreds of project teams, which includes container orchestration itself along with databases, queues, HTTP tracing services – and monitoring of all of it.

We have extensive experience of orchestration of hundreds of k8s/ocp clusters and are very big fans of Google’s SRE.

Right now, we are seeking for an SRE, who will contribute to our cloud management platform with code, ideas and operations over it.

Hard skills requirements:

• Experience with kubernetes/openshift/ocp/okd administration;
• Experience with container runtimes and utilities (docker, crictl, containerd);
• Scripting (ansible/teraform /python – flask, fastapi/bash/ruby);
• Real experience of CI/CD pipelines;
• Understanding of ideas behind the DevOps and SRE methodologies;
• Hands on Jenkins and GitLab runners;
• Experience in Deploying application on openshift/kubernetes and any cloud platform;
• Experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian);
• Experience in build or support of highly available solutions with Linux platform;
• Knowledge and experience in virtualization technologies: KVM, VMware, Openstack;
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) will be an advantage;
• Good knowledge of industrial standards of creation of the high-loaded applications;
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud software.
  
  Soft skills requirements:
• Strong team and business communication skills;
• Ability to conduct in-depth research.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to our cloud management platform, which’s written on python, ansible, golang, ruby;
• Dogfooding 1 week a month. Take operational tickets and use your own platform to solve real project team’s issues (install k8s, install databases, seat on monitoring, configure monitoring, configure platform, resolve performance or configuration issues, identify 3rd-party or our own software defects). NO night shifts: we have people around the globe to avoid this.
