Senior Frontend Engineer

Termius is a cross-platform SSH client that aims to become the #1 platform for managing computer systems. Our mission is to boost productivity and foster engineering collaboration by rebuilding an SSH client and Terminal for the modern era.

Today, our customers include thousands of companies, and millions of engineers use Termius to connect to their remote servers. We are actively growing and need self-sufficient individuals to help us make Termius the primary work instrument for many engineers worldwide in their daily routines.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to upskill our team in developing the cross-platform desktop application based on the Electron framework.

Requirements:

• At least 5-6 years of frontend development experience.

• Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects.

• Proficiency with React, Redux, Redux-Saga, and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with MUI framework or similar.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices.

• Passion for product development and enhancing user experience.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Mandatory availability for sync meetings from 4-6 pm New Zealand Time (NZT).

• Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

Optional:

• Good understanding of Electron and Node.js.

• Knowledge of RxJS and XState.

• Experience with configuring CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of WebWorkers, WebAssembly, and IndexedDB.

• Knowledge of SSH protocol and experience with network engineering.

• Experience with AWS.

What you will do at Termius:

• Independently manage all stages of application development, shape requirements and lead engineering projects relating to the desktop and web experiences.

• Share responsibility for testing, releasing, and maintaining our desktop application and related developer tools and processes.

• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to enhance application performance and user experience.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to influence the product development.

• Leverage technologies that bring value to our products and company, focusing on solutions that enhance functionality and meet our users' needs and product vision.

• Communicate with our users to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure their success with our platform.
