Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/ and receivable, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition;
• Preparation of complete and accurate financial statements in accordance with local accounting requirements (KZ accounting standards), as well as group accounting policy;
• Overseeing the preparation of VAT, CIT, and fiscal returns and supporting the preparation of all required financial declarations and reports as requested by public and financial institutions;
• Coordination of statutory auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation;
• Participating in various IT and other projects focused on the digitalisation of accounting processes;
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
• Management of month-end and year-end close processes;
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
• Lead and develop the accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional qualification is preferred;
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role;
• High sense of responsibility; capacity to organise time and plan actions effectively;
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
• Fluent in Russian, knowledge of English is an advantage;
• Experience with creating financial statements;
• Experience with general ledger functions and the period close process;
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills in 1C/Axapta are preferred;
• A proactive personality with a drive to push things forward;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
