Java Developer

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Java Developer to work on a project for our partner in Malta.

The customer has been leading the innovation of the iGaming industry since 2012. The project is to build a product and an organisation that puts the experience first, to strengthen our team, which is currently focused on implementing compliance features, fraud detection, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Working alongside other backend engineers to design, develop, deploy and maintain features of our platform.
• Working on our current Product platform built using DDD, CQRS techniques and a microservice architecture.
• Working as part of an Agile cross-functional team made of no more than 10 people.
• Become a member and owner of our backend engineering culture, learning from other talented people.

Must-haves:

• Experience with Java for 4+ years.
• Demonstrated practical knowledge of the latest Java features, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, automated testing and MySQL (or other RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, OracleDB, etc).
• Experience working with distributed systems, messaging, microservices and tools such as RabbitMQ/Kafka.
• Experience with transaction-heavy systems and tools such as Docker.
• Experience with Linux environment and working with tools like Git.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working on gambling projects and compliance features implementation is a big plus.
• Experience in CI/CD and DevOps.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Kubernetes, Google Cloud (GCP) and other cloud technologies.
• Experience with CQRS, DDD, TDD, noSQL databases and event sourcing is an asset.
• Knowledge of Kotlin or Javascript.
