We are seeking a Senior IT Specialist to manage Help Desk operations, oversee the administration of computer networks, and work with various IT devices to ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure on a daily basis.
Type of contract: 1 year contract with mutual prolongation
Start date: November 2024

Responsibilities:

Manage computer network activities and Help Desk operations.

Supervise, train, and evaluate IT staff; provide development opportunities.

Ensure high-quality customer service, responding to school staff in a professional manner.
- Meet with Heads of Departments regards to existing computer operations and future requirements
- Monitor, enforce and ensure high security levels for users and network systems
- Interact with IT Manager to evaluate hardware and software products; monitor the work of contractors engaged to do computer related work; review requests and specifications

Implement quality control procedures and manage network project installations.

Oversee inventory, equipment ordering, and billing procedures.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

Perform related duties as assigned.
Professional Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field.

Supervisory experience in network management and Help Desk operations.

Knowledge of English language at least at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) degree

In-depth knowledge of IT network operations, Help Desk support, and related systems.

Experience with TCP/IP, computer software (networking, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.).

Expertise in configuring network equipment (Cisco/HP, routers, Wi-Fi, VoIP, etc.).

Familiarity with Windows Server (2003-2019), Active Directory, DNS, GPO, and virtualization (Hyper-V).

Experience with cloud platforms (Office 365, Google G-Suite).

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Ability to set targets and work proactively with minimal supervision
