QA engineer.

DEVSTREAM is looking for a QA engineer.

Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Design:

• Analyze product requirements and technical documentation to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Identify test scenarios, edge cases, and risk areas for both web and mobile applications.

1. Manual Testing:

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and UI/UX testing on web and mobile (Android/iOS) applications.

• Validate app behavior across multiple devices, browsers, and operating systems for compatibility and responsiveness.

1. Bug Identification and Management:

• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs and issues in an organized manner using bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Trello, or Bugzilla.

• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to provide detailed bug reports, reproduction steps, and expected outcomes.

• Perform retesting and regression testing after bug fixes.

1. APITesting:

• Test APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger to ensure proper communication between frontend and backend.

1. Collaboration and Agile Participation:

• Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

1. Cross-Platform Testing:

• Ensure compatibility of web and mobile applications on various browsers, devices, screen resolutions, and operating systems.

• Conduct usability and accessibility testing to enhance the user experience.

1. Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect logs.

• Contribute to QA process improvements and share best practices with the team.

1. Test Environment Setup:

• Configure and manage test environments, ensuring they replicate real-world usage conditions.

Requirements:

1. Experience and Education:

• 2-4 years of professional experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

1. Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Experience with manual testing of web and mobile apps, including functional and cross-platform testing.

• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).

• Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries for backend validation.

• Proficiency in bug-tracking tools like JIRA or similar.

• Experience using browser developer tools for debugging web applications.

1. Soft Skills:

• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

1. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) for potential growth into automation.

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• ISTQB Foundation or other relevant certifications.
