Computer Vision Researcher in Robotics

We are looking for a candidate with the skills of practical application of computer vision algorithms. The candidate will take part in hypotheses development and experiments research under supervised control for computer vision tasks and systems for a range of robotics applications in Oil and Gas industry. This position implies regular communications within peers from the whole center and other research centers, as well as with product owners in the head office in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. It will be possible to take part in the conferences and publish journal papers. Business trips are possible to demonstrate developed solutions in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Key functions and responsibilities:

• Dataset collection, processing and systematization.
• Take part in research, develop and apply computer vision algorithms and solutions for robotics applications (including image processing, object segmentation and detection).
• Testing, evaluation and optimization of implemented machine learning algorithms for computer vision applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineer, and project managers, to develop and integrate computer vision solutions into projects.
• Prepare of software documentation, including user manuals, and source code documentation.

Technical skills and competencies:

• Experience in computer vision and machine learning, with focus in developing and deploying computer vision solutions in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Python data science stack (OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch).
• Experience with Ubuntu (Linux) operation system.
• Version control systems (GitLab is preferred).
