DESCRIPTION

International Business Development Manager is responsible for the speed of scaling and revenue, applying the service model, and ensuring the scale of presence in key international markets. Taking this responsibility, the IBDM will be responsible for creation of a partner network and its management, establishing legal entities in the territories, budgeting, approving with the board of directors and implementation of investment projects to expand presence in international markets, launching pilot projects of opening K12 schools, conducting market researches and promoting the image of ONE! products in the territories.

SKILLS:

This role will include strategic planning and launch of the partner network (franchisee) in the relevant international markets, improving the performance of the current network in different countries (Middle East, CIS, Asia), and improving the image of the offered products in the markets.

To successfully solve the assigned tasks, it is necessary to have the skills of systemic thinking, ambition, persistence, the ability to form and manage teams, the ability to achieve results, persuasion skills and stress resistance.

Efficient business communication skills and excellent English and Russian are necessary.


You may used to work across many different industries, but light understanding of a principles of modern education will be a big plus.

Successful candidate should have:

✓ The proven experience in managing the creation of a B2B partner network using a service model (franchise)

Education market expertise in a top-management role should be an advantage.

✓ Experience of launching new businesses on international markets and opening company’s branches.

✓ Profound knowledge of intercultural characteristics of different countries and nationalities. Practical skills of building business relations internationally, especially in MENA or Asian markets.

✓ Deep understanding and experience of assessment of potential gains against potential risk in a new environment. Practical expertise in assessing new markets, market expansion planning and experience in establishing the feasible international activities. Confident knowledge of international law and ethics.

✓ Good Communications Skills.

✓ Skills in B2C business including education services will be appreciated

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a business development manager you will be responsible for the curriculum as follows:

  • research and identify new opportunities - including new markets (countries), growth areas, trends, partnerships, educational products and services of high value for the location - or new ways of reaching existing markets

  • search for and analyze potential franchisees and enter into cooperation agreements with them

  • seek out the appropriate property for K12 pilot projects in cooperation with partners and / or real estate agents

  • meet with customers/clients face-to-face or online to identify their needs in order to fit the educational product up to the market needs

  • foster and develop relationships with partners, sponsors and donors so that you can generate new opportunities

  • understand the needs of our target customers (B2B & B2C) and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these

  • think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the speed of scaling and reach new audiences

  • work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.

  • participate in drawing up client contracts, negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases, increase revenues of franchisees and pilot K12 schools

  • carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present business plans of new projects to the Board

  • lead on and support launching of new international school or KG (relocation for some period)

  • have a good understanding of our educational products or services and be able to advise others about them

  • ensure staff are on board throughout the new school or KG, well-trained and understand what is required of them

  • train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate

  • discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department for each country in scope, help to plan sales campaigns, create a sales pipeline

  • liaise directly with the Finance, HR, Legal, Product and IT team when working on the projects

  • seek ways of improving the way the network operates internationally

  • research and attend seminars, conferences and events to build ONE!'s business's network and profile

  • keep abreast of trends and changes in education globally

WORKING HOURS

You'll usually work a regular 10 am to 6pm, Monday to Friday week, though you may on occasion have to work longer to meet a project deadline or when attending an event or conference.

Your working place will be located in Head Office (Dinamo metro Station, Moscow) with up to 60% of international business trips

Flexible and hybrid working may be possible if the tasks allow to

CHALLENGES:

  • You'll work in an office environment and travel most of the time for face-to-face meetings with franchisee partners and customers and other business partners or to attend conferences and exhibitions.

  • It can be challenging trying to create new opportunities, in addition to the constant pressure of meeting or exceeding targets. However, development of new projects is quite a creative role and can be very satisfying and resourcing

  • You may have responsibility for managing a new team and their output, meet the new markets with the task to get to know them enough to launch a new business with the lowest risks

  • Depending on the type of country, overnight or overseas travel may be required during working days and / or week-ends

SALARY

Salaries can vary significantly and depend on candidates levels and experience, based on a range of factors such as the industry you work in, its size and location, and your skills on international market, experience and level of responsibility, soft skills that you may have now.

To reach the higher end of the pay scale, you will need an excellent track record of quick scaling by franchise model in international markets of MENA and Asian regions and gaining and retaining new business and partnerships.

Performance-related bonuses (KPI) will be paid for successful achievements

The average of income will be discussed with candidates during the second meeting.
