Financial specialist (Payroll and Budget)

EWA Learn languages is an international company, with headquarters in Singapore.

We have been developing our EdTech app (iOS & Android) since 2017, with over 70 million users registered on our platform. Our app has been translated into 37 languages.

We help people around the world learn languages in an effective, easy, and fun way — through snippets of popular and beloved movies, TV shows, and memes.

Now we're looking for Financial specialist (Payrol&Budgeting) for the part time job.

Your tasks will be:

Payroll

• Provide assistance in the full cycle of payroll processing, including contract execution and salary calculation;
• Work with various payment systems (Deel and others);
• Be the contact for all employee queries related to payroll and onboarding of new hires to payment systems;
• Ensure payroll data reflects accurate information of current salary, benefits, deductions, hiring and terminations;
• Help to improve internal controls related to payroll;
• Assist in identifying alternative payment systems and analyze potential risks and changes.

Purchase orders/Invoices

• Create and maintain an updated subscription register;
• Clarify tasks for purchase orders (subscriptions/equipment);
• Assist in preparing an up-to-date register for invoice payments;
• Assist in reconciling the accuracy of issued invoices;
• Assemble closing documents/uploads for tax returns, communication with the accounting team under request.

Budget/PL/CF

• Aid in budget preparation for specific types of expenses/income;
• Assist in preparing the profit and loss statement on a weekly/monthly basis;

And additional financial projects.

You have:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll/Expense financial specialist in an international company;
• Experience with Deel or similar international payment systems;
• Experience with banking and treasury operations will be considered an advantage;
• Strong math and financial reconciliation skills;
• Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word;
• Fluent English;
• Responsibility and good communication skills.
