Customs Store Keeper

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming engineering materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
• Verify quantities and quality of items received against purchase orders or specifications.
• Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels for ongoing engineering projects and maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss, damage, or theft.
• Properly store engineering materials and equipment to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area.
• Fulfill requests for engineering materials and equipment from various departments or project teams.
• Prepare and pack items for distribution, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Record all transactions accurately using inventory management software or manual systems.
• Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issuances, and returns.
• Assist in preparing documentation for procurement activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and conformity to specifications.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage and handling of engineering materials and equipment.
• Follow proper procedures for hazardous materials and substances.

Qualifications:

• At least bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical/Electronical Engineering) or equivalent desirable.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the languages (English, Russian, Uzbek).
• Knowledge of spare parts management, spare parts’ principles, equipment knowledge, mechanical and electrical systems, cables, substation and transformer systems, as well as BMS all the materials knowledge.
• Knowledge of Engineering Store Management.
• Proven experience as a storekeeper or similar role, preferably in an engineering or renewables.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to storage and handling of materials.
• Physical stamina for handling minor manual operations.

Must Have: (Mandatory) - Skills Required

• Proven experience in Renewables or relevant field.
• Engineering background.
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
• Basic Microsoft Software (MS Spreadsheet/ Word / Adobe): Shall be an advanced user
• Google Forms – Shall be able to create Surveys and Reports.
