KPMC offers our customers cargo solutions with a focus on intermodal rail transportation to support their growing business, providing greater visibility and better transit within supply chain.

This role will focus on driving the business development of intermodal rail transportation services throughout the Central Asia and Caucasus region (“CACC”) and between the Far East and Europe & Mediterranean regions. We are looking for a self-driven sales professional with a growth mindset to bring new customer accounts onboard to achieve our business development sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Grow our intermodal rail and logistics footprint in the country; pursue and secure business in line with corporate and regional objectives within the assigned geography and market segment.
  • Prepare for sales calls and manage sales pipeline through our CRM with a disciplined approach.
  • Adopt a consultative sales approach to add value and distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs, suggesting customers solutions from our portfolio of cargo solutions products.
  • Source for additional business opportunities and provide quotations and proposals to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with relevant sales groups across the globe to grow the customer base.
  • Work on RFQ/tenders with respective products, marketing and sales team
  • Effectively hand over won business opportunities to our customer service, execution, and finance teams.
  • Respond to all sales leads and key correspondence within identified timelines.
  • Prepare and check periodic reports as required by the manager
  • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly business reviews
  • Ensure timely and correct update of contract rates, terms, conditions in line with the predefined procedures.
  • Research and analyze market intelligence and industry trends (e.g., sales statistics), prepare reports, and monitor sales, prices, and services of competitors; recommend actions in accordance to findings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Commerce, or related field.
  • At least 3 – 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding / railway logistics / intermodal logistics. Experience in Sino-Euro rail transportation solutioning will be preferred.
  • Strong selling, interpersonal and leadership skills, customer relation management skills, sales strategy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong network and market knowledge in the freight forwarding / railway logistics / intermodal logistics sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and well-versed in INCOTERMs conditions, shipping documents, Bill of Lading, Letter of Credits etc
  • Effective team player with a proactive, positive attitude and result-oriented personality.
  • Conversant with MS Office software, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • English / Chinese, fluent written & spoken.
