Fundraising Development Officer
Location: Tashkent
SOS Children’s Villages of Uzbekistan is an affiliated member Association of international non-governmental organisation. The main mission is to support children left without parental care or at risk of losing parental care through advocating for child rights and implementing relevant programs and projects. The Association works in Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm regions.
Main role and mission:
• She/he is innovative and creative in raising funds according to the business plan and targets, based on SOS CV best practises, competitor's activities, research, tests and continuous evaluation of fundraising opportunities, methods and results.
• The aim is to have a strategic mix of fundraising activities that start with Leadership Giving and are followed-up by preparing the Member Association for establishing Individual Giving.
• She / he establishes cooperation with companies, major donors and private foundations to gain fundraising income and maintaines long-term partnerships with corporate donors.
• She / he leads the project for starting Individual Giving in the role of project manager; a close cooperation with the National Director, Finance Manager, Chief Accountant, ICT and third parties (e.g. web development agency, direct sales agency, payment providers & banks) is required.
• To continuously evaluate and refine individual giving fundraising programs, ensuring they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
• The Fundraising Development Officcer is responsible for fulfilling the business plan and for reaching the set and agreed targets.
• She/he plans, monitors, analyses and evaluates each fundraising activity according to the planning and reporting procedure and against defined and agreed KPIs/ Controlling Figures. This activity requires a close cooperation with the National Director and Finance Manager.
• She/he has to adhere to all official manuals, guidelines, minutes of Fund Development & Communication Workshops and standards issued by SOS Children's Villages or the Fund Development & Communications Department as well as to the legal requirements in the country.
Professional requirements:
A proven track record of at least 3-5 years in market development, fundraising, marketing or sales - depending on the educational background
• Expertise in Direct Marketing channels and/or Key Account Management
• Expertise and experience in project management
• University degree in business administration, marketing or fundraising
• Can identify with the vision, mission and values of SOS Children's Villages
• Fundraising approach - optimistic person; creative and result oriented; attitude of never-give-up and try-again; passion for market development.
• Good command of English, Russian and Uzbek;
