Principal Software Architect

Position Description

Seeking a seasoned Principal Software Architect to join our vibrant engineering team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical architecture of our solutions. The ideal candidate possesses extensive expertise in software design, Python, RESTful API design, PostgreSQL or SQL, and NoSQL databases, with proficiency in React and JavaScript. As a Principal Software Architect, you will lead technical initiatives, ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions.

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, emphasizing architecture and design.

• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex, scalable software architectures.

• Deep understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.

• Proficiency in Python programming.

• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-native applications.

• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data storage solutions.

• Working knowledge of React and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.

• Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design and oversee the implementation of software architecture for AdviNOW’s healthcare technology solutions.

• Define technical requirements and create architectural designs that align with business goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.

• Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance product development and efficiency.

• Lead and mentor engineering teams in adopting best practices for software design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Conduct architectural reviews, provide guidance on design patterns, and ensure adherence to architectural principles and standards.

• Drive initiatives to refactor, optimize, and modernize existing systems and applications.

• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software architecture.
