Lead Go Developer

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced person to fill the position of Lead Go Developer to work on a large-scale project for the USA customer.

The customer is an international passenger and cargo transportation service. It is among the top 3 mobile services for ordering rides in the world: 150 million installations, 1 billion trips, 600+ cities in 45 countries.

The project involves the launch of the client's product into the Egyptian market. The project plan includes a meticulous engagement of carriers, with special attention paid to integration with local providers and the client's internal services. The service launch will take into account all existing conditions and limitations imposed by Egyptian legislation.

Tech stack on the project: Go, PHP, Android, iOS, Kotlin, Java, React, ReactNative, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Nats, HTTP/HTTPS, GRPC, GraphQL, ELK, AWS, K8S, Github Actions.

- Developing and improving the functionality of back-end services.

- Conducting code reviews, writing integration and unit tests.

- Optimizing data warehouses and reporting processes for large volumes.

- Modifying the use of queues.

- Developing tools to save costs on external APIs.

- Developing solutions specific to application use case countries.

- Participating in system design and architectural decisions with the team.

- Providing technical leadership to the team, supporting and training junior engineers.

- Designing and documenting architectural solutions for new and existing systems.

- Experience as a Golang Developer for 5+ years.

- Knowledge of System Design, hands-on experience with Amazon services (AWS).

- Experience working with high-load systems.

- Experience with MySQL, Redis.

- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (ELK).

- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

- Experience in designing and implementing APIs (Rest, GRPC).

- Experience with GraphQL.

- Knowledge of build and deployment automation tools such as GitHub Actions.

- Experience with Kafka, Nats standards protocol.

- Interest in new technologies, tools for automating development processes.

- Responsibility, the desire to work in a team and develop.

- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
