Senior Process Engineer (6 months)
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Investigate process engineering related problems and opportunities, preparing surveys and engineering studies
• Engineer changes and additions to process systems calculating the expected cost of the suggested modifications
• Issue conceptual designs, detailed design, key drawings, including P&ID’s, PFD’s, BFD’s, data sheets and engineering reports
• Identify and propose safety and environmental operation improvement opportunities. Prepare and develop scope of work for external engineering contractors, vendors and/or project execution engineering team
• Develop process models and simulate the process facilities using field data
• Initiate and supervise process engineering work done by external contractors
• Participate in engagements with other departments within KPO as well as external stakeholders
• Participate and present technical materials at various value and technical assurance events, such as Opportunity Framing, VARs, safety, constructability and peer reviews etc.
• Report progress of all assigned work to line managers
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, CRA, RAM sessions
• Interface with equipment OEM’s, Vendors and licensors on technical matters
• Provide process engineering support to the Team’s members on various interlinked projects
• Share expertise, best practices and provide guidance to national Senior Process Engineers from the Team

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant specialty
• Not less than 7 years of experience in Process Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge and practical experience in working in HYSIS software
• Good and proven knowledge of onshore upstream oil and gas facilities.
• Knowledge of brownfield projects.
• Knowledge of sour and caustic service.
• Knowledge of severe environmental conditions.
• Knowledge of conceptual studies, FEED, detail engineering
• Knowledge of RoK and international codes, regulations, and standards. Knowledge of the latest developments and current best practice in process design
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• To be computer-literate.
• To manage time effectively.
• To be a self-starter and able to work independently
• Ability to coach staff and share knowledge
