Chief Accountant

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Chief Accountant to join our team in Atyrau (5/2), Kazakhstan.

Responsibilities:

• Tax compliance for all entity’s tax liabilities- major ones are WHT, Payroll Taxes, VAT, CIT
• Coordination and responsible for the external IFRS audit
• Responsible for Statutory Reports compliance: National Bank, Statistic reports
• Reporting to Shareholder: Issuance of Quarterly Financial Statements
• Internal support to other functions and leadership team to provide professional consultancy within a role expertise
• Tax Policy update, entity’s tax optimization to adopt to changes in Tax legislation
• Responsible for local book transactions, control of the accounting team
• Coordination and work on 1S optimization, close work with IT team (internal and external)
• Reconciliation of local system and management book
• Follow company’s policies and procedures
• Management of the reporting team: treasury, payroll, AP
• Ownership for local book closure on a monthly quarterly and annual basis
• Understanding of the principle of salary calculation and prior experience of calculation is a benefit
• Coordination with local authorities: tax, national bank and etc.
• Accounting Document Control tracking system ownership
• Other ad hoc activities: presentation, analysis, issuance of process and etc.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of ROK Tax Legislation
• Knowledge of Accounting Law RoK Legislation
• IFRS knowledge and certification
• Internation taxation experience
• Experience of external tax audits is a plus
• Personnel managerial experience
• Prior chief accountant’s role experience at least 3 years
• Annual Financial Statement with Notes completion skills is a benefit
• Annual Corporate Income Tax Return completion is a benefit
