Student Experience Specialist
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, or a related field preferred. Certifications in student affairs or higher education management would be an advantage.
Work experience: Minimum of 1 year in a higher education, student support services, or customer service role.

•Basic understanding of student development practices and a willingness to learn about trends in higher education.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on active listening and providing friendly, responsive support to students.
•Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
•An empathetic and approachable demeanor, with a genuine commitment to enhancing student experiences.
•Effective conflict resolution skills to handle sensitive situations and address student concerns or grievances with professionalism and empathy.
Job Duties
- Assists in the planning, coordination, and support of student engagement programs, events, and activities in alignment with the university's student experience goals.
- Works closely with student organizations, clubs, and other campus partners to facilitate diverse opportunities for student involvement.
- Guides students to relevant university resources, services, and policies to support their academic and personal success.
- Serves as a primary contact for student inquiries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring they receive prompt assistance and referring them to appropriate staff when necessary.
- Supports collaboration with academic advisors, counselors, and student support staff by assisting in connecting students to necessary resources and programs.
- Participates in retention initiatives aimed at supporting students’ overall academic journey and progress.
- Supports outreach efforts by following up with students who may be identified as needing additional guidance or resources.
- Assists in data collection and reporting on student engagement, satisfaction, and participation to help inform departmental decision-making.
- Helps maintain communication channels (emails, social media, campus bulletins) to keep students informed of campus events, resources, and involvement opportunities.
- Assists in the creation and distribution of marketing materials and campaigns designed to increase student engagement and promote student activities.
- Develops positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff to foster a welcoming campus environment and strengthen the sense of community.
- Collaborates with various departments and campus units to support the broader mission of the Student Experience and Well-Being Office.
