Relay Protection and Automation Systems Engineer

Due to the increasing volume of work, we are looking for a new team member for the position of "Relay Protection and Automation Systems Engineer" at PROTECSYS.

PROTECSYS was established in 2023 to provide services in product sales, project implementation, and production under Nura Group Holding. Today, PROTECSYS plays a key role in delivering the Group’s projects.

The company is an expert in power stability, committed to delivering intelligent, adaptable, robust, and environmentally friendly solutions for power generation, power grids, and industries. Our solutions include protection, automation, and control systems, FACTS technologies, renewable energy solutions, micro-grids, and engineering consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review System Architecture Diagram (Substation Automation System);
• Familiar with IEC 61850 standard;
• Familiar with Substation Control and Monitoring System’s component (Substation Automation System);
• Familiar with industrial network topology arrangement and related industrial protocols (GOOSE, MMS, SV in accordance with IEC 61850 standard, Modbus RTU/IP, 101, 103, 104 protocol);
• IoT (OSI model) basics;
• Selection of the Network equipment, configuration Datasheet as per presented Customer’s requirement (Switch, firewall, gateway, WS, redbox, server);
• Familiar with Electrical SCADA basics;
• Capable with capture and analyzing traffic by “Wireshark” software or similar.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with substation automation systems and industrial networks.
• Familiarity with modern communication standards and protocols used in the power industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex technical information effectively.
